If you want to visit an area with a rich history, culture and tradition, and at the same time lavish in its pristine nature, Podravina is definitely the right choice for you. In this area at the confluence of the Mura and Drava Rivers, the so-called ‘Croatian Amazon’, many wonderful surprises await you. Visit Podravina’s Sahara, experience the special beauty of Đurđevački peski, and enjoy the wealth of water, vegetation and wildlife at the mouth of the River Mura where it flows into the River Drava. Learn about the tradition of this region. Through conversation with the locals find out more about life once upon a time and life today. Apart from the nature, here you will surely enjoy the art inspired by the same idyllic nature. Podravina is the cradle of Croatian Naïve art, an artistic practice of world reknown. By visiting many museums and galleries you will enjoy some of the excellent works of art and, at the end, the local delicacies to round off this perfect experience of Podravina and the exploration all of its treasures.
Tourist packages range from 1 - 8 days. The activity programme for an 8 day package includes: Day 1: Zagreb - Križevci; Days 2 - 5: Koprivnica - Molve - Repaš - Đurđevački peski (Đurđevac Sands) - Đurđevac - the estuary of the River Mura where it flows into the River Drava - Legrad; Day 6: Čakovec - Sveti Martin; Day 7: Virovitica - Višnjica - Našice; Day 8: Koprivnica - Zagreb. Packages are available throughout the year, for groups of between 2 - 40 people. Accommodation is provided at 2, 3 and 4 star hotels. Transport is possible with your own vehicle or provided by us, by bus. Professional guides are available in English, German, and other languages upon request.
