Exploring the beauty of Mura-Drava Regional Park with ecological features of international and national importance; enjoying the pristine nature; exploring the landscape, and the cultural, historical, ecological and rural values
Mura-Drava Regional Park is special in many ways. It extends through five Croatian counties, following the border of the Mura and Drava Rivers, and it is part of one of the most important European river ecosystems: the floodplain of the Drava, Mura and Danube Rivers. Thus it is also a part of UNESCO’s biggest planned future unique river transboundary biosphere reserve in Europe, which will run through several countries. The Mura and Drava Rivers are areas with high biological and landscape diversity, and are rich in geological, cultural and traditional heritage. The architecture, the conservation of ecology, and rural areas rich in indigenous products speak of an inexhaustible wealth of natural resources where a man can find his place in nature that sends him a message to live in harmony with its laws. Visit this kingdom of nature, enjoy the peace and greenery and again truly connect with nature.
