Visiting Varaždin during Špancirfest: ‘the festival of good vibrations’; high quality programmes on the festival stage - throughout the squares and streets of the Baroque downtown; enjoying creativity and gastronomy
In late August, in the Baroque town of Varaždin, a very special event is held. For ten days the multicultural festival of good vibrations, Špancirfest, will surely delight you. There will be something for everyone: concerts of world music, rock, blues, ethno music, children’s programmes and performances, comedy theater for adults and performances by street performers, entertainers and musicians. The squares and streets of the Baroque downtown will be converted into stages, and the entire town will live long into the night. You will feel like you are in a new dimension by passing through periods from the Renaissance up to the present day. Besides traditional and contemporary works you will be offered many culinary delicacies. We are sure that good music will get you into the groove, you will laugh with street entertainers, simply enjoy the wealth of Špancirfest events and come back next year!
Tourist packages range from 1 - 10 days. The activity programme for a 10 day package includes: Days 1 - 9: Varaždin; Day 10: Zagreb. Packages are available at the end of August, depending on date of the festival for groups of between 2 - 40 people. Accommodation is provided at hotels of various categories. Transport is possible with your own vehicle or provided by us, by bus. Professional guides are available in English, German, and other languages upon request.
