Something Croatia is recognized for in the world of art is naive painting. Visit Koprivnica during the unique Naive Art Fair - Podravina Motifs. Each year in early July a three-day- long selling exhibition of famous naive painting on glass and sculpture in wood is held, and the artists demonstrate their skills on the spot. By the symbolic acceptance of the keys of Koprivnica, naive painters and sculptors rule there for three days and it attracts thousands of visitors, buyers, gallery owners, art lovers, as well as those who want to become one. With the unique charm of ancient, bygone times an unforgettable pleasure awaits you, not only enjoying the art but also the local delicacies with a warm welcome at every step. Tambura bands and folk ensembles will make your stay even happier. So treat your eyes to the work and richness of our naïve artists, enjoy all the happenings and the music of cheerful Podravina locals!
Tourist packages range from 1 - 3 days. The activity programme for a 3 day package includes: Day 1: Zagreb - Koprivnica; Day 2: Hlebine - Koprivnica; Day 3: Koprivnica - Zagreb. Packages are available at the beginning of July, depending on the date of the fair for groups of between 2 - 40 people. Accommodation is provided at rural households and at 3 and 4 star hotels. Transport is possible with your own vehicle or provided by us, by bus. Professional guides are available in English, German, and other languages upon request.
