visiting the Renaissance Festival in Koprivnica, a tourist - historical event; enjoying the greatest spectacle of ‘living images’ from the past in this part of Europe; exploring medieval customs, crafts, fashion and gastronomy
The Renaissance was truly one of the most interesting periods in history. During this period, science and art experienced their flourishing, as well as Man himself. Visit the biggest spectacle of ‘living pictures’ from the past in this part of Europe - the Renaissance Festival in Koprivnica! A huge area of the town walls will be covered with medieval tents, camps, siege tools and towers. You will enjoy walking through the remains of the great fortress once used in wars against the Turks, meeting the ladies, peasants, lords and kings. There you will hear the rattle of swords of courageous knights and musketeers, and some fifty old crafts displays will present long-forgotten skills. Medieval delicacies will not be lacking, provided by the chefs and innkeepers who will serve roasted oxen, beer, and wine from the slopes of Podravina, while the musicians will take care of the medieval music along with the young maidens singing and dancing the dances of that period. Accept our invitation and return with us back to the idyll of the Renaissance period!
