Green is the heart of Croatia. Gorski kotar is a large mountainous and rocky region between the Kvarner littoral and the valley of the River Kupa, thrilling everyone with its forests and wealth of nature. In the vicinity of the biggest and central village of Gorski kotar, Delnice, there are numerous caves, forests and mountains. The village Lokve is known for its large artificial lake, the Omladinsko (Lokve) Lake, the limestone cave of Lokvarka and the forest of Golubinjak Natural Park, while nearby there is also a famous winter recreational center and mountain resort. The richness of flora and fauna of Risnjak National Park will delight all nature lovers. Enjoy this paradise of nature which is also a rich hunting area, with many rural households, konobe (local taverns) and restaurants serving venison dishes that you must try. Lovers of nature, culture and tradition will experience, in Gorski kotar, the fulfillment of their dreams and they will surely come back.
Tourist packages range from 1 - 5 days. The activity programme for a 5 day package includes: Day 1: Zagreb - Ogulin - Delnice; Days 2 - 4: Skrad - Zeleni vir - Delnice - Lokve - Golubinjak; Day 5: Fužine - Zagreb. Packages are available throughout the year, for groups of between 2 - 40 people. Accommodation is provided in a mountain hut, family households and at 2, 3 and 4 star hotels. Transport is possible with your own vehicle or provided by us, by bus. Professional guides are available in English, German, and other languages upon request.
