Every nation has a sacred mountain. Croatia as well, with its cult mountain - Velebit. Velebit Mountain, the valley of the River Gacka, unique rural and urban settlements, all this is the Velebit region which inspires visitors with its unique biodiversity, special reserves, protected areas and karst landscape. There are also authentic mills, still producing flour in the traditional way, just like in the village Kuterevo where the wooden musical instruments, the tamburica - dangubica, are made. There is also a bear shelter, unique in the world, a wonderful example of human coexistence with nature. Come on a journey into pristine nature away from city crowds, by cycling, walking and exploring the forest paths and Velebit peaks, sinkholes, caves and other features of this area of exceptional beauty!
